Royal Army Medical Corps

Born May 1914, in Stellarton, Nova Scotia. He received the Pictou Academy Gold Medal. He graduated in medicine from Dalhousie University and volunteered for active service in 1939 (or 1940) for WW II. He left Halifax from Pier 21 as a medical officer with the RCAMC in 1941. He served in North Africa, Tobruk, Al Amamein, Sicily, and Monte Casino with famous 8th Army. He returned to Pier 21, Halifax in 1946. He practiced in Halifax as a medical specialist until his death in 1972. While overseas he married Gwladys Rees who was serving with the Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Services (QAIMS).
