In partnership with Alliance Française, the Museum delighted to present the theatrical performance of Euphrate, a poignant and poetic play by playwright Nil Bosca.
About the play:
Euphrate tells the story of a high school senior grappling with the pressures of academic life and the weight of future choices. The protagonist, Euphrate, is the daughter of a Turkish father and a Norman mother. As she navigates the complexities of identity and belonging, she turns to her father in a warm and candid dialogue, seeking clarity and connection through the lens of her multicultural heritage.
Blending movement and dialogue, this innovative performance weaves dance with spoken word to create a joyful, free-spirited narrative. It is a touching and vibrant portrayal of a young woman’s quest to define her voice—at once personal and universal, intimate and empowering.
Through its tender storytelling and rich cultural layers, Euphrate invites audiences to reflect on the challenges of self-discovery, the resonance of heritage, and the transformative power of expression.
