About the Feature Film - "Welcome":
Learning they are about to become parents, a young couple celebrates with a weekend in the country. When they need assistance with the property, the all-too-helpful landlord arrives to fix the problem, deliberately overstaying his welcome.

About the Film Festival:
The Charles Taylor Theatre and Media Arts Association produces the Emerging Lens Film Festival. Now in its 15th year, the film festival celebrates its growth and impact on the community by fostering opportunities for filmmakers and artists.

Each evening begins with a cultural performance, emphasizing the festival’s roots in community and culture, followed by film screenings, Q&A sessions with filmmakers, and networking receptions. Attracting a diverse audience of community members, artists, students, and media, all events remain free, ensuring accessibility for everyone.  In partnership with Emerging Lens Cultural Film Festival.

Feature Film presented by National Canadian Film Day and Presented by Reel Canada.
