This is the wedding photo of my parents, Barrie Wingrave, Canadian army and Lorill Wingrave, Royal Navy. Barrie passed through Pier 21 during WW2 both going to England and returning after the war. Lorill passed through Pier 21 in May 1946 with a bevy of War Brides. Mother is wearing a borrowed dress and veil. The cake was made with ration ingredients donated by all the neighbours.
Barrie died in 1989 and Lorill in 2016.
