Lt (N/S) Vera Catherine MacDonald was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. She graduated from the Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing. She joined the RCAMC and was posted to England. Vera was killed in a jeep accident on June 22, 1945. The plaque was dedicated to Vera's memory with love and gratitude from her sisters Jean MacPherson, Antigonish, NS and Doris Polk, Marco Island Florida and their families.
