Simonne was very excited to come to Canada. She travelled by train from Halifax to Vancouver where her husband was waiting for her. Her husband’s family was very good to her. The rest of Simonne’s family followed soon after. By 1952 Simonne and her husband had moved to Ottawa where they lived until they both passed away.
