My grandfather left Poland and arrived in Canada in Halifax at the age of 17. I have been told by my father that he soon left Halifax for Montreal and then made his way to Ottawa. He was a furrier/tailor and had a shop on Rideau street until 1981, where he made, repaired, traded and sold fur coats and their like products. He passed away October 9, 1989.
