Married May 9 1950 Bill & Nellie came to Canada to start a new life of opportunities. Bill had a brother & sister-in-law in Canada but Nellie had no relatives here at that time. They immediately went to work on a farm in Ottawa, then on to Aurora, Bronte and finally settling in Burlington Ontario. Bill worked a few different types of jobs in Burlington then started his own company to become self-employed. Nellie & Bill raised & educated 5 children & have 11 grandchildren. There have never been any regrets making Canada home.
