Mary Jozwiak, born Juzwiak, on December 24, 1907, in the village of Zboriw, Zarudka, Austria, to Jacobus Juzwiak, who was Polish, and Catarina Sahajdak, who was Ukrainian. Mary had one sister Hanja, and two brothers, John (Jan) and Michael. She arrived in Canada on October 27, 1927, on the ship Montroyal, at Halifax, at the age of 20 and went to stay with her brother John in Toronto. There, she met and married John Yarosh (born Joannes Jarosz) on June 22, 1929. They had one son Ronald John Yarosh (born Merolstaw John Yarush) who married Mary Muzar, in Welland on July 23, 1960, and had two children - Joanne, who married Richard Austin and lives in Ancaster, Ontario, and Kevin who married Joanna Savard and lives in Welland, Ontario. Joanne and Rick have four children - Adam, Alexander, Andreas and Alyssa. Mary Jozwiak Yarosh died in Welland, Ontario from heart failure on December 24, 1986 (on her birthday) at the age of 79. She is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery on Niagara Street and Woodlawn Road in Welland Ontario.

John Yarosh, born Joannes Jarosz on January 26, 1905 in the village of Dubowce, Tarnopol, Austria, to Terentius Jarosz and Paranka. He had three brothers - Hnat, Nikola, and third-unknown. Paranka died at an early age. His father remarried Sadie (also known as Hsenka or Ksenia) Mohylska. Sadie`s first husband was a Szyliga. John had one stepsister - Sophia. John arrived in Nova Scotia, Canada in August 1928 on the ship Metagama. He then travelled by train to Saskatchewan and then to Toronto. He married Mary Jozwiak on June 22, 1929. They had one son Ronald John Yarosh (born Merrolstaw John Yarush) who married Mary Muzar in Welland, Ontario on July 23, 1960. They had two children - Joanne, who married Richard Austin and lives in Ancaster, Ontario, with their four children, Adam, Alexander, Andreas, and Alyssa. Their son Kevin married Joanna Savard and resides in Welland, Ontario. John Yarosh died in Welland, Ontario on July 19, 1992 of heart failure at age 87, and is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery on Niagara Street and Woodlawn Road in Welland, Ontario.

Helen (Jelka) Salinger was born on July 17, 1910 in Brezje, Vivodina, Croatia (Hrvatska) Jugoslavia to Lovro Salinger and Ana Benkovich. She had three sisters - Mary (Restak), Ann (Cerjanec) and Bara (Rozic) and three brothers - Lovro, Mato and Lovro (who died in infancy). She arrived in Halifax, Canada on the ship Montrose on March 12, 1938, to meet her future husband Joe (Josip) Muzar in Schumacher, Ontario, where they married on April 24, 1938. They moved to Welland, Ontario in 1942. They had two sons and one daughter - Joseph Jr. who married Anne Lavery and had two children (Richard and Dianne), Mary who married Ronald Yarosh and had two children (Joanne and Kevin) and George. Helen Muzar died in Welland, Ontario of heart failure on February 26, 1984 at the age of 73, and is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery on Niagara Street and Woodlawn Road in Welland, Ontario.

Joseph (Josip) Muzar was born on July 20, 1906 in Radina Vas (Muzari)) Vivodina, Croatia (Hrvatska) Jugoslavia to Mijo (Mike) and Marija (nee Vrban). He had two sisters, Bara (married Lovro Petrusha), Anna (married Jura Pulez) and one brother Lovro (married Bara Ramuscak). A total of four more brothers and sisters died in the 1910's within one week during the black plague. Joseph came to Halifax, Canada on November 1, 1930, on the ship Red Star Line, then worked at McIntyre Gold Mine in Schumacher, Ontario. On April 24, 1938, he married his childhood sweetheart from Vivodina, Helen (Jelka) Salinger in Schumacher, Ontario. They moved to Welland, Ontario in 1942. They had two sons and one daughter - Joseph Jr., who married Anne Lavery and had two children, Richard and Dianne, George, who never married, and Mary, who married Ronald Yarosh and had two children, Joanne and Kevin. Joseph Sr. died of heart failure in Welland, Ontario on May 30, 1981 at the age of 75 and is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery on Niagara Street and Woodlawn Road, in Welland, Ontario.
