Giovanni Cervoni

I have received a brick in honour of my uncle, Giovanni Cervoni. Here are his particulars. Arrived on 30th of April 1961 aboard the ship Saturnia. He has devoted many years of volunteer service to the Italian community in areas as diverse as sports and drama. He continues to lead as President of the Veterans Association that he founded in 1986 to assist Italian veterans with their needs. And at age 81 still can be found in the Italian Vice-Counsel office three days a week. Mr. Cervoni has been recognized for his many contributions to the community through a variity of awards including the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal and has been bestowed the rank of Cavaliere by the President of the Italian Republic for voluntary contributions.
