Age on Arrival: Onofrio 31, Pina 25, Anna 5, Frank 3

My parents left their life in Italy, (after having first gone from southern Italy to Northern Italy and having lived and worked there for two years), and came to Canada with the hope of building a better future for their children. They settled in Toronto and have lived there since. They had another son in 1966, Raffaele. We became Canadian Citizens in 1970.

My father, Onofrio, worked as a laborer with various construction companies. In his fifties, he worked in the Maintenance department of the Metro Toronto reference library. My mother, Pina, was a housewife.

My parent's dream of building a better future for their children became a reality, as they are very proud of our accomplishments. All three of their children are university educated. Anna (B.A., B.Ed.) is a teacher; Frank (B.Arch. Sc.) is a Project Manager for a worldwide construction company; and Raffaele (B.Eng. Sc., MB.A) is a highly respected Financial Analyst with prestigious financial institution.
