Florence Aronoff

I remember as a young person I was aware that my mother was a volunteer with JIAS in the mid-thirties-she would go to the Pier early in the morning to help Jewish immigrants who were fleeing Germany and I remember in particular some of the of the families she assisted. She herself entered America in New York through Ellis Island in 1909 and my father entered Canada as a young boy through St. John I believe.
