and Family
I'm originally from Hanover, Germany and on July 21, 1957, I married a Canadian soldier, Ernest Robert Setter.
When my husband was stationed back in Canada, I sailed with my husband and our two children who were both born in Germany - Isentrude Maria Setter who was 6 years old and Kenneth Donald George Heinze Setter who was 4 years old. I was also at that time six months pregnant with my daughter Sonja Pauling Setter who was born April 7, 1958 in Calgary, Alberta.
We landed in Halifax Harbour at Pier 21 on January 21, 1958 and disembarked from the ship at 11:00am. I received my Canadian Citizenship in 1962 and my son and daughter received theirs in 1965.
