Edmund, Herbert, Bruno Hiller

Edmund Hiller (1904-1969), Herbert Hiller (1909-1993), and Bruno Hiller (1912-1993), came to Canada on the Nieuw Amsterdam, and arrived in Halifax on May 9, 1930. They were three brothers of German descent who were living in Poland at the time of their departure. Their parents and other siblings stayed behind at the time though many later immigrated to Canada. The three brothers first went to Olds, Alberta to work on a farm of a distant relative.

Bruno married Agnes Sturhahn (1913-2001) in Vancouver where they spent their entire married life. Edmund married Ruth Paschold (1913-2002) and also made Vancouver their home. The two brothers jointly owned a business in landscape gardening.

Herbert married Frohmut Streuber (1917-) and resided in several places in the United States and Canada. Herbert was a Baptist minister and professor.
