Arrived in Canada as a 3 year old. Travelled with my mother Antonia di Poce Cappuccitti and my older sister Santina Tersigni, she was 9 at the time. We were going to Toronto to meet my father Serafino Cappuccitti. He had preceded us and was anxiously awaiting our arrival at Union Station. My parents were not young when they set out on this adventure. In 1952 my father was 52 years old and my mother was 49. A bit late in life to pick up stakes and move across the world for a better life. Well it worked out for me. I grew up in Toronto as a stalwart Canadian, a Maple Leafs fan and a career Public Servant. I was able to retire in 2011 at the age of 62 to enjoy retired life with my wife of 35 years Barbara McCrea Cappuccitti and to spend time with my daughter Holly Boudreault and my 4 grandchildren Sebastian, Ethan, Gavin and Alice. Thank you Canada! Thank You Pier 21.
