Scotiabank Family History Centre Research Request - Travel Trade | Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21

For tour groups and travel trade industry guests only.

The Scotiabank Family History Centre will work with you via email to research your request prior to your visit.

What we can search:

Arrivals to Canada between 1865 and 1935 (from all North American ports of entry)
Departures from the UK from 1890 until 1960 (including war brides)
Departure records for displaced persons after the Second World War
Persons travelling aboard a Holland-America Line ship

We can offer instructions as to how to obtain immigration records from Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for arrivals after 1935, which are currently protected under the Canadian Privacy Act. We also offer commemorative ship photos and immigration anniversary certificates, which make wonderful gifts and keepsakes.

Submission deadline guidelines:

For guests arriving May-September, please submit your request a minimum of 6 weeks in advance.
For guests arriving October-April, please submit your request a minimum of 4 weeks in advance.
