Come listen to a work-in-progress reading of Santiago Guzmán's newest play, Long-Distance-Short (working title) as part of the culmination of Santiago's winter 2025 playwright-in-residency with the Museum. This is an exclusive sneak peek at the development of this story, which follows ANDRÉS, a middle-aged migrant from Mexico, struggling to keep long-distance relationships healthy and alive with his loved ones. Whether they live countries apart or a few provinces away, ANDRÉS seeks ways to create a web of connections with those who are important to him. He is not necessarily terrified of relationships; they catch him off guard sometimes. Like spiders. He does not like spiders that much. This play reading will feature an array of local NS talent.
