L/Cpl William John McLennan

William John McLennan was in the 8th Canadian Field Regiment Royal Canadian Artillery. He enlisted in the 61st Battery in Edmonton, Alberta on September 13, 1939. He left for England from Pier 21 on the Monarch of Bermuda on January 30, 1940 and returned to the Pier aboard the Samaria in early June of 1945. When he left Canada his wife was pregnant, and the first time he met his child was when he arrived back in Edmonton on June 19th 1945.
