While in a Nazi concentration camp, Rebecca Teitelbaum risked her life to secretly record the recipes of fellow prisoners. She included her own recipe for orange cake, a dish that she would later make in Canada for her family every Sunday.

All ingredients should be at room temperature.
- Step 1: Place all dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Step 2: Mix the butter, sugar, vanilla, the eggs, one at a time.
- Step 3: Add the dry ingredients and alternate with liquid.
- Step 4: Bake in the oven at 350 degrees, 60 minutes.

- 3 cups of flour
- 2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 cup of butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup of orange juice
- 2 teaspoon of orange peel
