Rebecca Teitelbaum’s Orange Cake

Old sepia photo of a young woman looking into the distance, mounted on a black background.

While in a Nazi concentration camp, Rebecca Teitelbaum risked her life to secretly record the recipes of fellow prisoners. She included her own recipe for orange cake, a dish that she would later make in Canada for her family every Sunday.
