Welcoming Newcomers at Pier 21

Virtual Field Trip: Welcoming Newcomers at Pier 21

Ideal for: Ages 5+

Between 1928 and 1971, Pier 21 was the entry point for hundreds of thousands of people, including refugees, war brides, evacuee children, and displaced persons. These new arrivals could count on the assistance and spiritual support of volunteers from religious and service organizations. Together, we will look more closely at the role and impact of the Pier 21 social services in welcoming people to Canada.

If you would like to book a virtual visit, please contact Angelique Cishahayo by email or by telephone 902-425-7770 ext. 255.
